What makes an award-winning brand experience agency?

After another year of wins at the Event Industry Awards, which saw Cogs & Marvel bringing the award for Best Event Management Company home for the second year running, we’re all recovering from a case of too much champagne.

On a serious note – we have a sentimental attachment to the Event Industry Awards. Winning over the years for our creativity, our logistics, and the strength of our team, the Event Industry Awards are our tour de force, the awards that the whole team rallies behind.

The Event Industry Awards are an important bridge between who we were as Green Light Events – known for our incomparable logistics management – and the experience design agency that is Cogs & Marvel. Because what we create is no “event” to be forgotten about the moment you leave the conference room. We’ve taken the experience we’ve garnered over the years to inform how we create brand experiences built with the attendee journey at the heart of them, much like the term campaign in adland.

Winning the award for Best Event Innovation previously for #TwitterOnTap at Web Summit in 2015, this year’s win was for our activation of Lidl’s “Full Shop” marketing campaign (running throughout 2017 to highlight the value of doing your weekly shop with the German retailer) at the National Ploughing Championships 2017 to an audience of 291,500 attendees.

 

Transforming  the Lidl barn into a shopping trolley that towered over the competing exhibitors and creating an immersive brand experience inside that put the spotlight on Lidl’s support of local producers, the Lidl Full Shop Trolley experience took an existing campaign and reinvented it to create an unforgettable attendee experience. But winning for Best Event Management company reflects who we are as a team – what we stand for, the incredible people we have working for us, and the strides we’ve made in the last twelve years. Our team, from Dublin to San Francisco, have accomplished some monumental feats in the last year – wait and see what’s in store for the next twelve months.
