The best way to learn about a city is to experience it, and Google’s brief to Cogs & Marvel was to showcase their travel app suite. Our solution? We created a highly immersive and memorable tour of one of the most beautiful cities on the planet, Rome. Using all of the tools from the travel app suite, visitors were invited to leave the guidebooks at home and explore all of the city’s stunning and famous sites. From photo ops at the Trevi Fountain to shopping on Via dei Condotti, the guests used Google Maps, Translate, and Images to experience Rome in a way that only Google can facilitate.
Facebook 1 EMEA
Facebook has changed the way people communicate, leading the social revolution and taking bigger and bigger strides. They asked Cogs & Marvel to reinvent their sales conference: to inspire, excite and wow their team to imagine a bright blue future. Running a Lip Sync Battle across their EMEA offices for the six month build up, Cogs & Marvel doubled expected attendance and hosted the epic Final Battle on the Electric Masquerade conference stage.
Google Engage was Ireland’s largest ever corporate event. To host the 5,000 attendees from across EMEA, Cogs & Marvel united the 3Arena and The CCD and constructed the 3800m² marquee catering venue called Engage Eats to create the Engage Conference Village. As well as creating and managing all of the onsite activity, we also delivered a memorable experience for guests by accommodating 3100 Googlers across twelve of Dublin’s best city centre hotels and taking over seven of the city’s largest pubs for one unforgettable party night, winning us an EIA for Best Event Team.
Web Summit has grown to become the largest tech event in Europe. As a main sponsor, Twitter wanted to host the most illustrious event of Night Summit, attract VIP attendees and prove themselves leading tech innovators. Twitter came to Cogs & Marvel to create, plan and execute an unforgettable event. We wanted to create a brand experience event that reflected the essence of the Twitter brand - its ability to connect people, the fast-paced and wide reach of its network and the fun and exciting approach to communication the platform has created. The event was #TwitterOnTap, a night of non-stop entertainment and activity for the 600 invited VIP guests that included interactive social installations linked to our friendly barman.
Google’s DLS conference brings together the brightest minds in the digital media industry to learn from each other over two days in Dublin. The briefed requirement was to host the ‘kings of industry’, so Cogs & Marvel created an opulent experience across the conference and workshops and a 'Game of Thrones' themed gala evening at the 15th century Luttrellstown Castle, offering a dramatic entrance backdrop to the evening before guests ventured out into the ‘great hall’ marquee adjoining the castle.
