Women of Cogs & Marvel shortlisted at WIM Awards 2022!

The Women in Marketing Awards recognises inspirational women and male equality advocates across the globe.

This year we are excited to announce that not one, not two, but three of our talented team have been shortlisted.

As a woman-founded, woman-owned agency, we understand the importance of celebrating our team’s strong female leaders, and with the recent announcement of the Women In Marketing Awards shortlist, it’s fair to say we have real cause to celebrate.

The Women in Marketing Awards were established to recognise inspirational women and male equality advocates across the globe and we are proud to announce that not one, not two, but three of our talented team have been selected as finalists.

Our very own Joanna Olszowski, VP of Client Partnerships, has been shortlisted for The Change Maker Award, recognising the women re-shaping the marketing industry landscape from within their own firms by identifying opportunities, championing new ideas, and driving meaningful change. Jo’s work has long been a source of inspiration for everyone at Cogs & Marvel, and we’re delighted to see her incredible contribution recognised on the international stage.

Devin Finneran, our copywriter extraordinaire, got the nod for the prestigious WiM Copywriter Award, celebrating writers whose work is not only creative, concise and compelling, but also empowers women, challenges inequality, and fights gender discrimination. We can think of no-one who better encapsulates these values; Devin’s incredible pro-bono work with The Shona Project alone has had a tangible, measurably positive impact on the lives of young women and girls the length and breadth of Ireland. Devin also happens to be Ireland’s sole entry on the entire shortlist, and we can think of no better national representative.

Finally, Sheila Milani, our Creative Director in San Francisco, has been shortlisted for Creative Marketer of the Year, a new category that celebrates women who have displayed exceptional creative bravery in their work. Sheila is nothing if not innovative, and has led our US creative team in designing some of our most exciting and inventive activations; from the revolutionary Adobe Field Trip, to her historic takeover of San Francisco Pride. As both a peerless creative leader and a vocal champion of women's rights, we couldn’t be prouder to see Sheila recognised as one of the industry’s best and brightest.

All will be decided at The Women in Marketing 2022 Awards Ceremony on the 16th of November. Stay tuned!
