“The Cogs & Marvel team did it once again in 2021, finding more creative ways to deliver a digital Adobe Field Trip experience that elevates our brand, products and community in a thoughtful and educational way for employees and their families around the world.”

-Damon Guidry, Global Event Strategist, Adobe

How do you take a field trip from your couch?
Adobe asked us to create an experience that captured the magic of in-person field trips of past  with activities, narrative, and ways to come together. We needed to create something amazing for families around the world, with kids of all different ages, that radiated Adobe’s values of curiosity, creativity, and inclusion.

Tune in and gear up
We created an original, broadcast-quality show that blended live-action film with bespoke illustration, animation, and music. Our real and animated co-hosts met a diverse cast of guest experts and creative friends. Follow-along exercises got kids moving, and real-time chat prompts helped families engage together while they watched.

IMPACT

Engagement soared with 138% of our expected audience, with over 4000 unique households across 17 countries.

Hands-on adventure, together
The story continued on the Adventure Portal, where families could jump into the same worlds they saw in the show to do hands-on activities together. Packed with dozens of lessons, exercises, and videos from special guest speakers in STEM and the arts, the Adventure Portal packed a whopping 90 minutes of original content.

A more inclusive adventure
Creativity and discovery are for everyone, so we paid extra attention to include people of different backgrounds, physical abilities, and ages throughout AFT, like NASA engineer Tiera Fletcher and deaf content creator Sheena McFeely. Additionally, sign language translation was built in the main broadcast, normalising it for hearing viewers and giving younger kids some of their first experience with sign translation.

From show to site, Adobe Field Trip inspired kids of all ages to embrace their inner curiosity, imagination and sense of discovery.
