Every year, Meta tours a series of specialist AI events around the globe to showcase its latest research and project releases. The work on display is at the very cutting edge of what’s possible in this generation’s most exciting technological field.

In this incredibly competitive environment, how could we create an experience that cut through and contextualises the newest developments for event attendees?

Our Approach
This project sparked a deep strategic dive for the agency. To understand how to create experiences to communicate Meta’s AI offering, we had to really understand it. Several of our management team completed training courses to quickly become fluent in AI. Alongside this, we had calls with some of Meta’s research teams to interrogate the detail of the work and really understand its implications.

Our creative approach was focused on leaping forward in time to imagine these projects - often fresh from the research lab -  into real-world scenarios. At work, at home, in education. By giving an everyday context to this groundbreaking technology, we aimed to excite the audience about its possibilities and engage them to learn more.

All of this was wrapped in a highly sophisticated modular build system that enabled us to scale deployment up or down, ship easily and execute cost effectively and sustainably.

APPROACH

Outcomes
Our designs have recently debuted in Vienna and Seattle and will now tour the globe for a further 18 months. At each location, we’re using sophisticated measurement technology to understand visitor engagement, including tracking dwell time for individual components of the experience.
